Sister Work is a 1992 movie starring Whoopi Goldberg, directed by Emile Ardolino, and freed by Touchstone Pictures. Whoopi's role was originally written for Bette Midler.

Too when laundry cost a city, she take control of the choir, & transforms it into a other modern cantabile class action by with the class action sing covers of classic soul songs modified into gospel tunes.
It spawned the sequel, Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit, released within 1993, which did not perform also when a original.
